Over the years, I have become something of a history buff, particularly as it relates to contextualizing the scriptures. It just brings the text to life when I can place the times, locations, customs and so forth – it ceases to be dry text on a page and transforms into something like a cinematic film playing in my minds eye.
As I have studied, I have also marveled at the means through which God has begun to clarify His word. Anyone who has been a regular visitor here probably knows there are particular scholars to whom I regularly listen, specifically because of the insights they offer which further clarify and illuminate scripture.
Today, I bring you something I stumbled across quite by accident, but which left my mouth agape. Without further adue;
