Since the inception of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I have been struggling to get my head around what’s really going on. I’ve said before and still contend, there absolutely is a virus and it is absolutely claiming lives. I strongly feel however, that what is truly happening here isn’t what we’re being told, but there is something else occurring to which we – the “unwashed masses” – are not privy.
At a minimum I definitely see the tendrils of societal programming at play. I don’t know about anyone else, but the moment that police in the U.S. began elevating the edicts of elected officials over the individual, constitutional rights of law abiding citizens, my alarms went off. A governor is not a ruler. They aren’t barons, princes or kings and their words are not law. When I saw that a woman had been arrested for taking her children to the park, I was incensed. If an officer cannot distinguish between a violation of law and simple questionable judgement, remove them from duty – they are unfit to either protect or serve.
Whether or not we agree with those who have chosen to eschew the shelter-in-place orders or social distancing guidance is irrelevant. The fact is that such simple personal freedoms are the proverbial “canary in the coal mine”. When you see these being infringed upon so flagrantly, you know that something has gone horribly, horribly wrong…
I’ve used the analogy in the past of boiling a frog. Throw a frog into boiling water and it will jump out before it is even fully submersed. Submerse it in tepid water on the other hand, slowly increase the temperature and you’ll have frog soup in short order. In this particular case, I think the hand on the burner may have tweaked the temperature a bit harder than initially intended, but make no mistake – after things seem to have cooled, they’ll be back.
Now, I’ve said before I don’t want to “phone it in” with regards to this site, but I likewise don’t advocate “reinventing the wheel” – particularly when there are those who’ve done such a good job of researching and communicating the issue. What follows will, for many fall into the realm of “conspiracy theory” – and rightfully so. The important thing to remember is that these words have meaning and do not mean foolish, farcical, or crazy.
Test me on that ~
