Can you feel it? The tension? The… delay?
Personally I have noted a significant uptick in the level of active discouragement lately, and I find this to be unsurprising considering the battle that must be absolutely raging i the spirit right now. You know what I’m talking about right?
Personally, the enemy has put forth great effort to discourage me, and I’d be surprised if he hadn’t been doing the same to you…
I’ve had to say goodbye to my nearly 14 year old boxer, otherwise known as “my shadow” and lately, I’ve seen a run on any and all efforts I’ve made in the realm of “media” – audio, video and text. As an example, I have seen conflicting numbers regarding visitors to this site. Some range in the thousands – obviously not accounting for bots and spiders, while others range as low as 11 and even 0.
This past week, at Shabbat service, the Lord showed up in a way that was recognized by the entire congregation… His presence was so palpable that there was no mistaking it. During this visit, I had a brief vision – and it was such that I immediately understood it and its meaning instantly.
What I saw, was a Japanese soldier – as in, from World War II. It was the classic tale we’ve all heard about such men being found upwards of ten years after the war, never having gotten notification and yet, having maintained a state of being battle-ready.
Now let me break that down for you…
These men, having sworn allegiance to an Emperor who had been defeated and, effectively deposed, continued to execute the last order they’d received – it’s what good soldiers do. If they, having sworn themselves to the service of a mere mortal man could persevere in that for decades without any feedback what-so-ever, how much more should I… should we as believers, continue to persevere in our execution of orders issued by the King of the Universe?
I do not know if anything I’m doing is having a impact. I don’t know what numbers to believe or if any of this matters to anyone other than me. What I do know is that the King told me to do this, and so I will continue regardless of what comes – until such time as he tells me otherwise.
If there’s one thing I want more than anything else in creation, it’s to one day hear the words, “Well done My good and faithful servant”. I want that for you too.
Until next time,
שלום עליכם – Shalom Aleichem – Peace Be Upon You
