As events have unfolded over the course of the last week, I have had numerous – very candid – conversations with the Lord. In one such discussion, I expressed my frustrations with so many well-intended believers… men specifically, who seemed so intent on giving up before the fight had really even begun. He replied to me that He understood where I was at and that it was true that He’s had eunuchs that were more “manly” the some walking the earth today.
Yeah, that’s a harsh indictment and yeah, it’s the dead honest truth. We’ll discuss this more in a future article. In the meantime, if you are among those who are intent on abdicating your spiritual authority, then I and others would ask you to exit the battlefield quietly, lest your faithlessness infect others.
Today, (11/9/2020) the Lord hit me with a “lightning bolt” moment. As the media has proclaimed victory for Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris – even in the face of electoral controversy the likes of which has never been seen in our lifetimes – the left has begun to celebrate victory and castigate the President of the United States and his supporters…
Enter Daniel 5.
The son of Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar decided to hold an opulent party. In the process of hosing this event, he called for the vessels that Nebuchadnezzar had confiscated from the Holy Temple to be brought forth and he, his wives and concubines as well as the nobles, drank from them and gave thanks to false gods. In short, they defiled what was Holy and the one true God would respond in kind:
At that very moment the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the royal palace wall, opposite the lampstand. The king was watching the back of the hand that was writing. Then all the color drained from the king’s face, and he became alarmed. The joints of his hips gave way, and his knees began knocking together.
Daniel 5:5 – 6
Belshazzar sent for the “wisest” in his kingdom, looking for anyone who could interpret the message written on the wall, but none could. None, that is, until Nebuchadnezzar’s widow instructed her son to summon Daniel. Belshazzar offered Daniel riches and power… even making him a third ruler in the kingdom if only he would interpret the message.
Daniel responds and tells the king to keep his gifts, but states that he will indeed interpret the message:
“This is the writing that was inscribed: mene, mene, teqel, and pharsin. This is the interpretation of the words: As for Mene—God has numbered your kingdom’s days and brought it to an end. As for Teqel—you are weighed on the balances and found to be lacking. As for Peres—your kingdom is divided and given over to the Medes and Persians.”
Daniel 5:25 – 28
For the last 4+ plus years, we have seen every form of slander, liable and false accusation brought against this President – a President selected by God almighty and anointed for His purposes. A President for such a time as this. Scripture tells me plainly: “Don’t touch my chosen ones. Don’t harm my prophets.” – Psalm 105:15
I believe that we have seen His chosen be more than touched, we’ve seen him manhandled by liars, murderers and thieves. God’s word will not return unto Him void (Isaiah 55:11) and He is not mocked. (Galatians 6:7)
We see in the conclusion of Belshazzar’s reign recorded in Daniel chapter 5, what I believe is a prophetic picture of what’s immediately on our horizon:
Then, on Belshazzar’s orders, Daniel was clothed in purple, a golden collar was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed third ruler in the kingdom. And that very night Belshazzar, the Babylonian king, was killed.
Daniel 5:29 – 30
As for how specifically this will manifest in our present circumstance I cannot say… but I can say that the Lord is about to move and move mightily. I do not envy the judgement those who have chosen to oppose the Lord are about to face, but I do long for real JUSTICE to prevail in our land.
In the meantime, I believe the Lord has spoken quite plainly regarding the Biden-Harris “victory”.
You have been weighed,
You have been measured,
And you have been found wanting…
