Seeing the Matrix – Part Two

This content has been archived. It may no longer be relevant

Last week, we took a cursory look at the overall symbolism of the Matrix films as it pertains to our present circumstances… and it truly was only cursory.

I stated at the conclusion of the previous article that I wanted to explore this concept as it pertains to the Seven Mountains of Societal Influence. If you’re not familiar with the concept, the idea of the Seven Mountains holds that there are seven key areas of societal influence, and that our perspectives, behaviors and beliefs are effectively driven in some way, shape or form by them. They are; Arts & Entertainment, Business, Education, Family, Government, Media and finally Religion.

I also stated in the previous article that we live in a system that is not designed specifically for our good, and I wanted to elaborate on that briefly before we dig further into the details of this article… You see, we view the world through an extremely limited perspective. If you read the article Spiritual / Dimensional, you’ll likely understand that I’m not speaking in a “spiritual” or symbolic sense, but in a literal, physical manner.

The Mountain of Government

One of the things we often perceive incorrectly is the nature of God’s intended order and the consequences of this are often dire. We, as limited and finite human-beings often tend to view our world and organizations as being vertical in structure – because they are. We likewise tend to apply this same view to God, the Angelic order and spirituality as a whole, but this isn’t what scripture teaches. To be clear, God’s organizational structure is decidedly horizontal, e.g. – there’s God, and then there’s everyone else. Understand that we’re not discussing the stratification of being. The point is, the way things are is not how they were intended, or designed to be.

Now when the other ten heard this, they were angry with the two brothers. But Jesus called them and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions use their authority over them. It must not be this way among you! Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Matthew 20:24 – 28

Let me ask you earnestly; when was the last time you, as a citizen of whatever nation in which you live, felt served by your government?

I can’t speak with any authority to political matters outside of the United States, but even now as a partisan circus unfolds on the US political stage, I can’t help but wonder what might be accomplished if those pushing this non-issue actually did their jobs and sought to serve the citizens of their respective communities, rather than to serve the political aspirations of their party and its nefarious-yet-obscenely-wealthy influencers.

Now, I readily concede that scripture tells us to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2), but I do not allow this to supplant the knowledge that the way things are is not at all how they were intended or designed to be.

So Samuel spoke all the Lord’s words to the people who were asking him for a king. He said, “Here are the policies of the king who will rule over you: He will conscript your sons and put them in his chariot forces and in his cavalry; they will run in front of his chariot. He will appoint for himself leaders of thousands and leaders of fifties, as well as those who plow his ground, reap his harvest, and make his weapons of war and his chariot equipment. He will take your daughters to be ointment makers, cooks, and bakers. He will take your best fields, vineyards, and olive groves, and give them to his own servants. He will demand a tenth of your seed and of the produce of your vineyards and give it to his administrators and his servants. He will take your male and female servants, as well as your best cattle and your donkeys, and assign them for his own use. He will demand a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will be his servants. In that day you will cry out because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord won’t answer you in that day.”

1 Samuel 8:10 – 18

Note that the precedent passages in this chapter explain the the initial request displeased Samuel, but when he took the matter to the Lord in prayer, he is told that it isn’t Samuel that was being rejected… but YHVH.

For some it may be all-too-easy to dismiss such passages and notions as not being relevant in modernity, but for those with eyes to see, the principle it speaks to is not only relevant, but plainly evident at this point in the unfolding of history. If you are a regular reader of this site or an ardent student of scripture, no explanation pertaining to the continuity of the biblical narrative should be necessary…

In my country, we are taxed for the money we earn, taxed for he money we spend, taxed for the money we lend, taxed for the money we save, taxed for the interest we earn, taxed for the money we give, taxed for the property we are purchasing, taxed for the property we own – and on and on and on. It’s been this way for so long that people believe this is normal or that it’s how it has to be.

News flash… it isn’t. It does illustrate the principle laid out in the cited portion of 1 Samuel 8 however.

The issues are numerous as are the forces and agendas that drive them. Much like the image of the tentacled sentinel above, these matters spiral out in dark tendrils that affect and infect nearly every facet of life within this country. Truth be told, it’s much farther reaching than America and touches on – if not outright controls – every nation on the planet.

Think of it this way, the law may allow for behaviors that societal norms generally scorn. If laws are not amended, how long do you think it will take before the behaviors sidle up against the boundaries of legality and begin to challenge the status quo? What may not seem all that detrimental at a given point may very-well reach critical mass within a mere generation or two.

Government, therefore is the linchpin upon which the rest of this fiendish system relies. It is, for all intents and purposes, the incubator through which all these tendrils reach – without your conscious awareness or consent – and suck the life-force from you. It is the means through which boundaries are moved and cultures are shifted from moral, sane thinking…

The Masonic Orders

“Signs and symbols rule the world, not words nor laws”

– Confucius

The symbol pictured is commonly referred to as the “all-seeing eye” or the “eye of providence” – but whose eye, and whose providence? What exactly is being provided?

Many would claim “God” to be the answer to these questions, and the Free Masonic orders who are the most prolific modern users of this image would agree. Many of them earnestly believe this – but what if I told you that it’s patently untrue…

Masonry contends that the ‘G’ within the square and compass points to the ‘Grand Architect’ and that this is therefore, a reference to the Judeo-Christian God. The first issue however, is that this symbol and the spirituality it invokes far predates Judaism, let alone Christianity. In fact, the earliest representation known of the eye of providence is that of the eye of Horus. Ever wonder why the Masons seem preoccupied with Egyptian symbolism and mythology?

Are obelisks really that cool?

Maybe I just don’t get it.

To be clear, this is only a one example of some of the “strange” symbolism that crops up with regards to Freemasonry and highlights the heavy Egyptian influence over the organization. Even cursory examination will deliver a myriad of esoteric Egyptian symbols associated with the orders. The question we should be asking is “why”?

~

The second point of contention to be had with this assertion is that the Masonic orders both allow for and recruit from people of virtually any religion or faith… that would at the very least place them in the same camp as Unitarian Universalism. If you don’t see the issue with this, I urge to go back and read the end of the book. Seriously, this is low hanging fruit guys.

The sticking point in all of this for many will likely be the inclusion of beloved friends and family among the ranks of the Freemasons, Shriners, Scottish Rite, Templars or any of the other Masonic orders – but I caution you that the involvement of someone you know and/ or love in an organization does not exhonorate the organization as a whole. The fact is, there have been and continue to be many within the ranks of Freemasonry who do not truly understand the nature of the organization to which they belong. The question we need to ask ourselves is this – are we on the side of truth… or not?

At this point you may be asking exactly what – if anything – this has to do with our governments?

Yeah, you heard him correctly. Spin it any way you want, but the man said what he meant and he meant what he said.

Some might see this as a “so what?” type of an issue, and I can certainly understand it. In fact, I often assert that “so what?” is a completely legitimate and useful question to ask… so long as we pursue the answer.

Could it be that the Masonic orders are entirely benevolent, altruistic and humanitarian in nature? Are they seeking only to lead mankind into a Utopian golden-age, to enlighten us all intellectually, metaphysically and spiritually? Is it possible that they really are “all that and bag of chips”?

Sure, it’s possible I suppose – but entirely unlikely. Why would there be any need to conduct business in secret, compel members to take oaths of secrecy under pain of death, or preclude the involvement of “outsiders” who , for all intents and purposes, seek the same end-goal?

Have a look through a list of Freemasons and see how many names you recognize. How many of these men are / were highly influential? How many were politicians, statesmen or leaders? Kings or nobility?

The following has often been quoted in such discussions for its use of language addressing “secret societies” – and while it does that, anyone paying attention should realize that what’s being discussed is that of the Cold War and the stand against Communism.

Thing is, it’s as relevant today as it was when he gave this speech. I admonish you to give a listen and consider the principles put forth as they apply to us now, and the powerful indictments against the power-hungry.

It’s not really any big secret that many of the most influential political figures and leaders of the last century are / were Masons themselves, or were aided and greatly influenced by them. The question is – so what?

The so what is that the sheer volume of Masons within our governments grants them a significant amount of power to decide what transpires within. If an official’s first loyalty lies with a secret organization whose agenda may not be public knowledge, that’s a problem. If the bulk of government officials are beholden to the same… all the more.

Until next time,
