Seeing the Matrix – Part Three

“But the most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unflagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over. Here, as so often in this world, persistence is the first and most important requirement for success.”

– Adolf Hitler

I bet you can guess which of the Seven Mountains we’re going to address today…

The Mountain of Media

Returning to the citation from, none other than the most infamous genocidal mass-murderer in modernity, I ask; can you think of any examples of this exact principle at work in the recent past?

I certainly can…

Tired of winning yet? Me neither.

It’s okay, I get it… go ahead and watch that a few more times. Deliberate over whether or not to share it on social media. I’ll be here when you get back and we’ll continue.

If you read last weeks article, you likely recall a video excerpt of Newt Gingrich discussing the abject hostility to all things Trump during the 2016 campaign. When asked by Sean Hannity why the Republican establishment were so hostile, Newt stated the following:

“… because he’s an outsider, he’s not them, he’s not part of the club. He’s uncontrollable – he hasn’t bee through the initiation rights, he didn’t belong to the secret society…”

Why are nearly all of the so-called “News Agencies” in the United States parroting the exact same narrative? It’s like they are reading from the same copy… oh wait, they are. Remember this?

Folks, we are witnessing the exposure of a propaganda campaign of massive proportions and let’s be clear, this didn’t start with the Trump campaign – we’ve been straight up lied to consistently for decades. One thing that’s accurate within that video… this, indeed, is “extremely dangerous to our democracy.”

We began our examination of the “Matrix” and its impact in the Seven Mountains last week with a look at Government. Media is an appropriate follow-on because they represent the propaganda arm of the powers-that-be. Interestingly, I recall when that statement went out across the wire… would it interest you to know that this wasn’t actually a general indictment of social media as a whole? It was a shot across the bow of the “Q Anon” phenomenon… something that to this day continues despite the best efforts of the establishment to quash it and proclaim it “debunked”.

Relax, this isn’t an article about Q, I leave that for you to look into on your own; the relevance of Q and the activities of Citizen Journalists among those involved speaks to the need and desire from the American (and actually World) public for actual, factual journalism.

There are those among us who were not alive when real journalism was a thing and have never truly seen, read or heard what actual journalism is. Real journalism investigates situations and looks at circumstances. It derives its conclusions from facts and evidence. Moreover, those engaging in actual journalistic endeavors are not simpleton puppets parroting whatever drivel is placed before them, but requiring claims to be substantiated.

Let’s be real, more than 90% of what passes for “news” in American media could be accomplished by a trained monkey – if monkeys could talk. It would be considerably more interesting and entertaining as well. Sadly, very few have stepped up to fill the void. Those that have are generally labelled as “conspiracy theorists” – which shouldn’t be all that insulting, but Americans have apparently been led down a path wherein anyone not agreeing with the established narrative is deemed “fringe” and / or “crazy”.

If what we see and hear coming from the media is virtually identical, one has to wonder from where they are deriving their “talking points”. Think about it, I could ask three people a single question on virtually any topic and get no less than five answers, yet the media seems to only ever have one train of thought, one universal message and all of the same language.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck – it’s a duck.

– idiom

No matter which way you slice it, what we’re being fed is a controlled narrative – which is a polite way of saying that it’s propaganda.

We aren’t being given truth, we’re being given spin and increasingly we are seeing that the spin isn’t only not properly aligned with truth, but is often antithetical and in diametric opposition to it.

So who exactly is controlling the narrative?

Many reading this might be inclined to claim that it’s “the Democrats”, and there may be truth in that to some measure, but that belies an extremely limited perspective. To this point I have primarily discussed the American Media (because that’s where I live) and have used current political events in order to illustrate my point. The problem is that this issue is not unique to America or the United States – it also not limited to party or ideological lines. It is, in fact, pervasive and persistent.

Consider the ‘Sinclair’s Soldiers’ video and note how many different broadcasters and news agencies are implicated. Know also that this is a sampling of stations – it is assuredly not a comprehensive list. If you really want to get to the bottom of it, follow the money.

In the meantime, as the bobble-heads on your television scream about quid-pro-quo and Presidential abuse of power – I ask you to keep the following in mind:

It’s sad to say, but there is no one news source or agency that can be trusted – nobody just “gets a pass” since all have proven unreliable at best / untrustworthy at worst at some point. What is required is for us, the people, to be cognizant and to check facts. Opinions and emotions are irrelevant in the ascertaining of truth. We must be diligent to subjugate our emotions lest we delude ourselves into believing we’re seeking truth when we are – in fact – erecting echo chambers and promulgating propaganda.

Until next time,

שלום עליכם – Shalom Aleichem – Peace Be Upon You
