During a very interesting group-discussion this week, I realized that I and a very respected elder in faith were coming from two very different perspectives concerning current events. Another member of our group pointed out that while he was coming from a perspective of ‘if‘, I was coming from from one of ‘when‘. I thought the observation was brilliant and really clarified the disconnect in our dialogue.
Allow me to elaborate and frame a little context for where I’m going. Current events have no bearing on God’s ability to accomplish His will and, if scripture teaches me anything, it teaches me that God can change circumstances in an instant. Presently, I hear voices telling you and I that “the Election was not stolen.” These voices are very insistent on this position and seem to demand that I depart from my own faculties of intellect and reason, only to adopt someone else’s. Essentially, what they’re trying to tell us is that, despite the fact that it looks, walks, quacks, flies and swims like a duck… it’s not actually a duck.
I’m sure I don’t have to spell-out my response to that for you, do I? I mean, I readily self-identify as “the Duck-Test guy”.
Interestingly enough, we have now seen the introduction of a second attempt at impeachment for a Former President… and this in spite of what he actually said, or a growing body of evidence pointing to the fiasco at the Capital having been an engineered event. Further ignored are the events of the entire preceding year where cities were burned and looted, illegally occupied and the lives and livelihoods of law-abiding citizens were impeded if not outright destroyed.
While all this occurred, many of the voices now decrying the statements of Donald Trump told us that the actions of the perpetrators of these crimes were “non-violent”, “mostly peaceful” and somehow virtuous. Ivory Towers anyone?
The rampant hypocrisy that’s currently on display is so flagrant, so egregious and so utterly repugnant as to defy reason and logic. I’m left with two logical options:
- These people are so intellectually deficient as to disqualify them from public service, or:
- These people believe we are so intellectually deficient as to disable us from seeing what’s right in front of our eyes.
Sadly, the latter appears to have been true for far longer than most of us would be comfortable admitting… but the times, they are ‘a changing. An awakening has truly begun within this nation and – much more importantly – within the body of believers in this nation.
So where is this all headed?
DUCK – that’s where.
I almost pity those who have so flagrantly sided with the powers of darkness and agreed with the obviously wicked decree brought forth against this nation. To be clear ~ that decree did not come from the throne of God.
There is a legal principle that comes to mind in all of this, and when I say legal, I am referring to the Law of God:
“If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there will be no blood guilt for him. If the sun has risen on him, then there is blood guilt for him. A thief must surely make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he will be sold for his theft. If the stolen item should in fact be found alive in his possession, whether it be an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he must pay back double.”
Exodus 22:2 – 4
Moreover, we have the following from the hand of King Solomon:
People do not despise a thief when he steals to fulfill his need when he is hungry. Yet if he is caught he must repay seven times over; he might even have to give all the wealth of his house.
Proverbs 6:30 – 31
Folks, the thief is caught… they were caught in the act. We’ve just been waiting on a righteous judge to actually hear the evidence and render judgement. I contend that this is still about to happen. The courts of man have clearly abdicated their role, so we have made our Appeal to Heaven.
I stated that I pity those who’ve aligned with darkness and interestingly, the same passage from Solomon that denotes a seven-fold repayment, explains why I feel as I do:
A worthless and wicked person walks around saying perverse things; he winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, and points with his fingers; he plots evil with perverse thoughts in his heart; he spreads contention at all times. Therefore, his disaster will come suddenly; in an instant he will be broken, and there will be no remedy.
.
There are six things that the Lord hates, even seven things that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift to run to evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who spreads discord among family members.
Have I missed something or have we not and are we not seeing every single one of these on full display even now? This is my point. The utter degeneracy we are witnessing is utterly pitiable – and yet with every passing day, seems to increase. Just when I think it has to have crescendo’d, even more comes.
The good news is that such will collapse under the weight of it’s own corruption and malfeasance. It has to because it’s entirely untenable.
As always, I continue to wait upon the hand of the Lord to move mightily in my nation and throughout the world. The revival is coming. Restoration ad repayment is coming. God will move and, in so doing, He will vindicate His prophets.
I’m sure not everyone agrees, and honestly, that’s fine. You may be working from a perspective of if, but I remain steadfast in my assertion that none of this is a matter of ‘if’, but when.
… if my people, who belong to me, humble themselves, pray, seek to please me, and repudiate their sinful practices, then I will respond from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
None of this is actually bout Donald Trump. It never has been. This is about good vs. evil. It’s about the future. It’s about our children… and our children’s children. Whatever you may think about what’s happening now, I would ask you to pray – and pray hard – for the intervention of the Lord and for His will to be made manifest, even now.
